I’m sorry if the webcomic has been a little bit late these days… I’ve been a bit busy with work and as you may have notice the pages about Chinatown have a lot of details in them so it takes a bit more time to draw. Another reason is that yesterday I went to the Montreal ambassadors’ annual meeting organized by Contact MTL! I was able to make one of Ponto’s (and yours) dreams come true! Ponto finally met the Mayor of Montreal Denis Coderre! He seemed a bit sceptic at first but my blogger friends convinced him that Ponto is positive symbol of Montreal.

So next week the comic should return to it’s normal schedule! 😉
PS: About the lobster fest posters! When I was a child every time we came to Chinatown, I would always see those posters so I thought that lobster fest was an all-year-round festival! 🙂
Contest!
Here’s a contest in collaboration with Quartier du Canal and the Montreal Sud-Ouest borough to support our local merchants during the renovation of Notre-Dame street. To enter, you need to visit 3 of the businesses on Notre-Dame-street West (between Rose-De-Lima and Atwater) and write down which costume Ponto is wearing and where you saw the illustration. There’s 1000$ in gift certificates to be won! (…and who knows! maybe some plushies 😉 ) You can participate and read all the details here:http://ladame.org/concours (In French)

Dragon’s beard is absolutely amazing! 8192 little strands of sugar all melting in your mouth at once! Now I’m going to be thinking about that all day. Je crois qu’il est temps d’aller faire un autre tour à Montréal!
Thanks for reading my webcomic! I rarely get comments on the english version so it’s always nice when I get some! Is it really 8192 little strands? I might use this info in my next comic! 😉
It is, if you listen to the baker when he does his show in the summer, he explains it; they fold the sugar strand upon itself 15 times, which equates to 8192 strands, and that’s what makes it melt so easily. My mouth is watering at the thought of it right now! 🙂
Sorry, I didn’t get the notification for the comment so I couldn’t see it. But I will definitely go next summer and listen to the story! 😀
8192 = 2^13.. so really is after folding it 14 times not 15. Is 2^13 and not 2^14 because you won’t count the firsts fold.
I like Ponto!
